Hoof Beats

2008 Calendar 2084
Equine artist Kim Penner cannot remember a time when
horses have not been a part of her life. Growing up on a hobby farm in
Western Canada, Kim has always found comfort in the company of horses.
They are a part of her landscape, as basic to her environment as the earth
and the sky. Kim finds continual inspiration for her beautiful acrylic
paintings from all types of horses, showing surprising diversity within
her chosen genre.
“Just being with the horse I think you begin to feel a connection to
something uncluttered, to something that brings you back to nature,” Kim
says. “I think you can see that connection in my art.”
All Pine Ridge Art's Wall Calendars are environmentally
friendly, printed on acid free linen paper, using a six vegetable-ink color
printing process. Each calendar features a decorative wrap for protection, which
displays all twelve images on the back along with the Artist's biography.
